PACNY is proud to present the following program on Sunday, July 10th at 6 pm at Opendore, in Sherwood, NY.
The event will include the premier of the new Peter Carroll video, "Opendore, the story of the Howland Family, a Movement, and preserving a historic legacy", at 6:00 PM. This excellent 15-minute video showcases the evolution of Opendore, from Isabel Howland's home to derelict building to the restored Howland Stone Store Museum facility.
The video will be followed by a presentation by local cobblestone mason Paul Briggs. Paul will speak on cobblestone construction techniques, restoration of cobblestone structures, and many existing local cobblestone structures.
Opendore will open for visitors at 5:30 PM. The event is free for all. Please RSVP.
Donations to the Howland Stone Store Museum and/or PACNY are much appreciated!
